Job Description

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance.

Shifts
  • Day shift: starts at 6:30 am
  • Evening shift: starts at 2:30 pm
  • Night shift: starts at 10:30 pm
Work Schedule Commitments

The position requires the following:

  • Per diem: 64 hours in a 6-week schedule, including 16 Saturday hours, 16 Sunday hours, and 32 weekday hours. All hours must be completed during the assigned shifts. Work one summer and one winter holiday. Not benefited.
  • Part-time (PT): 24 hours/week, working every other weekend and holiday rotation. Benefits eligible.
  • Full-time (FT): 40 hours/week, working every other weekend and holiday rotation. Benefits eligible.
Responsibilities

The Safety Associate works under the supervision of a licensed professional to monitor assigned patients and intervene if necessary to ensure safety.

They maintain a safe and therapeutic environment but do not provide direct patient care. Their roles include:

  • 1:1 observation: staying within arm's reach, monitoring patient behavior, redirecting, and noting changes.
  • Continuous rounder: assessing multiple rooms and patients, then moving on to the next.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Interest in Behavioral Health Sciences preferred
