Patient Safety Associate / Patient Care Tech

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance.

Shifts

• Day shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
• Evening shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
• Night shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

Work Schedule Commitments

• Per diem: 64 hours in a 6-week period, including 16 Saturday hours, 16 Sunday hours, 32 weekday hours. All hours must be completed during the assigned shifts. Additional hours are flexible.
• Part-time (PT): 24 hours/week, working every other weekend and holiday rotation. Benefits eligible.
• Full-time (FT): 40 hours/week, working every other weekend and holiday rotation. Benefits eligible.

Holidays Recognized

Jefferson Holidays include New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Hallmark days include New Year's Eve, Christmas Eve, Day After Thanksgiving, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, Super Bowl Sunday.

Responsibilities

The Safety Associate works under supervision to observe patients constantly and intervene if necessary to ensure safety. They maintain a safe and therapeutic environment but do not provide direct patient care. Their roles include:

• 1:1 Observation: Staying within arm's reach, monitoring and redirecting patients, noting behavioral changes.
• Continuous Rounding: Assessing multiple rooms, then moving to the next, ensuring safety and environment assessment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
