Job Description

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. Patient Safety Associates work 8-hour shifts, with options for day, evening, or night shifts:

• Day shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
• Evening shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
• Night shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

Work Schedule Commitments

• Per diem: 64 hours over 6 weeks, including weekends and holidays; flexible hours beyond scheduled shifts; work one summer and one winter holiday; not benefits-eligible.
• Part-time: 24 hours/week, every other weekend and holiday rotation; benefits-eligible.
• Full-time: 40 hours/week, every other weekend and holiday rotation; benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities

The Safety Associate works under supervision to monitor patients and intervene if necessary to ensure safety. They do not provide direct patient care but maintain a safe environment through two roles:

• 1:1 observation: within arms reach, redirecting patients, preventing harm, noting behavioral changes.
• Continuous rounder: assessing multiple rooms in a continuous cycle.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
