Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Patient Safety Assistant to support patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in Michigan. You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and help maintain a safe, caring environment.

In this role, you will engage patients in meaningful activities, observe and report changes, and contribute to the overall well-being and comfort of those in our care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of BLS Heartsaver during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient observation and report any changes to the Registered Nurse per protocol.
• Assist patients with feeding, bathing, toileting, and ambulating.
• Engage patients in activities they enjoy, such as reading or playing cards.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
