Job summary

The position requires a Medical Assistant certificate or LPN license depending on licensure path, BLS, and EHR proficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; MA certification/registration.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing; current LPN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 2 years in ambulatory primary care or related setting preferred.
• 1 year EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms; keep spaces clean and stocked.
• Interview patients and obtain history, meds, vital signs.
• Perform procedures and tests as directed (venipuncture, injections, tests).
• Document encounter information accurately in the EHR.
• Assist provider and coordinate care with community resources.
• Cover clinic gaps and weekend coverage as needed.
