Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily following facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in appropriate portions and mop methods.
• Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of waste properly.
• Vacuums carpets and cleans windows as directed by supervisor.
• Reports repair needs to supervisor or maintenance staff as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Participates in in-services and adheres to care management policies.
• Ensures patient/resident safety and supports care operations.
