Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for the Bel Air at Teravista location in Round Rock, TX. The role involves performing scheduled housekeeping tasks, cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, and maintaining overall cleanliness in accordance with facility protocols.

Responsibilities include using proper chemicals, operating floor-care equipment if needed, sanitizing spaces, and reporting repairs or supply needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility protocols.
• Uses appropriate cleaning chemicals in proper quantities and may mop floors as required.
• Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of waste in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by supervisor and assists with general housekeeping duties.
• Identifies and reports safety hazards and follows safety rules and procedures.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant position is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
