Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a full-time support role in the Burnet Campus Behavioral Med-Clin Psychology department. The position offers a Day shift, 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $18.16–$22.25, based on experience and equity.

Additional pay may apply for shift or weekend work. The role covers patient registration, admission, scheduling, and revenue cycle data entry, with emphasis on compliance, data accuracy, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients, families, staff and external agencies with patient registration, admission, and scheduling.
  • Investigate and resolve customer requests or problems per CCHMC policies.
  • Contact outside representatives to obtain information or resolve issues.
  • Support Revenue Cycle by ensuring data and forms are entered correctly.
  • Communicate system errors to management and suggest improvements.
  • Complete and authenticate documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure patient safety by correctly identifying patients and handling isolation precautions.
  • Protect patient and family confidentiality and data under HIPAA.

Primary Location Burnet Campus Department Behavioral Med-Clin Psychology Shift Day (United States of America) Schedule Full time Weekly Hours 40 FTE 1 Employee Status Regular *Expected Starting Pay Range $18.16 - $22.25 *Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Customer Service – Provides assistance and services to patients, families, staff and external agencies in the accurate completion of patient registration, admission and scheduling.
  • Investigates and resolves customer requests, questions or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures.
  • Contacts outside representatives to request information or assistance in resolving problems.
  • Revenue Cycle Support – Supports the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory by ensuring that the necessary data, information and forms are obtained and accurately entered into the appropriate system.
  • Talks to management to explain system errors or to recommend changes to the system.
  • Compliance – Completes and authenticates all documents and questionnaires that ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, CMS, ODH).
  • Safety – Ensures patient safety by identifying the correct patient, identifying special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for patients who have Infectious Disease indicators.
  • HIPAA/Confidentiality – Maintains confidentiality, protects and safeguards patient/family personal medical and financial information at all times during collection, use and storage. Access only information and records necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position.
