Pediatric Associates of Barrington is seeking a Patient Representative to serve as the friendly first point of contact for patients and families. This temporary, part-time role supports care coordination and ensures visits run smoothly across our Barrington and Crystal Lake locations.

Eligible candidates should be customer-service focused, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a team environment with rotating Saturday shifts. Office hours span typical clinic times.

For almost 30 years, Pediatric Associates of Barrington has proudly cared for families in our community. Our experienced and compassionate team provides personalized care for every stage of childhood - from those very first newborn visits all the way through young adulthood. We love partnering with families and helping guide them through each milestone along the way.

With 6 clinicians and 18 dedicated team members, and two locations, we are committed to delivering exceptional pediatric care in a welcoming and supportive environment. We are excited to welcome you to our team!

Schedule

16 hours per week with rotating Saturdays, candidates must be able to commute to both locations

General Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 6:00pm

Crystal Lake

• Standard shifts fall within the 8:00am–6:00pm window
• Rotating Saturday mornings: 8:15am–12:00pm
• Rotating late shift: 9:30am–6:00pm

Barrington

• Regular shift: 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Patient Representative is the first point of contact for patients, families and many other sources.

Works under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Answers phones, schedules appointments and verifies patient information.
• Completes check-in, check-out and end of day processing.
• Enters charges; collects and posts payments.
• Collects patient balances.
• Copies medical records.
• Scans incoming patient records/reports.
• Completes end of day process.Processes medical records requests.
• Demonstrates and supports PediaTrust Core Values.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs digital health workflows and initiatives.
• Performs complete referral authorizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
