Job summary

Retina Associates of Kentucky in Lexington is seeking a Patient Relations Lead to join our growing contact center. The ideal candidate will combine strong communication and computer skills to create a positive first impression for patients, and support scheduling and problem solving across sites.

Responsibilities include assisting the supervisor, guiding staff on scheduling processes in NextGen, and documenting requests in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Background check favorable.
• Must prove identity and work eligibility in the United States.
• 1–3 years in a call center or as a receptionist preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with NextGen or other EMR preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist and act as liaison and operational support for the Patient Relations Supervisor; scheduling, education, communication, problem solving.
• Step into support supervisor team in times of need.
• Provide guidance, education, and monitoring of staff on patient scheduling processes.
• Serve as a key resource via email, phone, and chat for the Patient Relations team.
• Respond to incoming calls for all sites promptly and with high quality.
• Appropriately schedule patient appointments in NextGen based on physician preferences.
• Document patient requests and information in the EMR clearly for timely responses.
• Maintain call efficiency to meet daily production goals.
• Coordinate work with team members to ensure efficient office workflow.
• Maintain knowledge of site protocols and physician schedules/changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
