Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to verify patient information during registration and support service delivery. You will manage scheduling resources, coordinate communications, and assist with insurance verification and pre-registration for upcoming appointments.

Strong customer service, data entry, and knowledge of EHR systems are essential. High school diploma required; healthcare experience preferred. Competitive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage resources
  • Coordinate communication for scheduling requests with patients and care teams
  • Verify insurance during pre-registration for upcoming appointments
  • Handle follow-up appointment requests and payment collection
  • Create and maintain patient profiles in the electronic health record
  • Assist with insurance tiering and eligibility verification
  • Refer uninsured patients to Financial Counselor or Health Benefits team

Job description

Pay Range:$25.00 - $31.88The Patient Registration Specialist works directly with patients to obtain and verify information during the registration process as well as other duties to prepare the patient for service delivery.

Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job

Manages scheduling resources for patient appointments

Manages communication tools for patient scheduling requests by patients and care teams

Manages the pre-registration review process for insurance verification for upcoming appointments

Manages follow-up appointment request

Retrieves payment collection for services, flat rate services,

co-pay

or up-front collections

Co

llects

documentation

by the

requirements and timeliness for registration compliance

Reviews

and assigns

insurance tiering for proper payor assignment

Validates insurance eligibility and

pre-authorization

requirements

Communicates with peers,

patients

anages multiple worklists assigned: New Patient Registration Worklist
