Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Part-Time Patient Registration clerk at Mesa Fitness. The role may progress to full-time and involves communicating the admitting process, handling patient forms, and managing daily schedules.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience in a medical or customer service setting. On-site work with benefits and relocation if needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience and/or training in a medical/clinic practice or customer service preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicates the admitting process to the patients.
• Assembles New Patient, authorization, and all electronic forms; verifies accurate and current patient information.
• Prepares schedules and daily appointments and records all information in patient charts.
• Checks insurance and collects co-pay or deductible per payment eligibility in computer system and/or using online tools to ensure correct and accurate data is collected.
• Responsible for sending provider referrals, pre-authorizations, and supporting documentation.
• Responsible for ensuring that opening and closing duties are completed such as cash drawer is open/closed, equipment is turned on/off, and doors are unlocked/locked for the day. Per clinic operations.

Position Highlights:

• $18.00 - $20.70 per hour, depending on education and experience.
• Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
