Job summary

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Registration Specialist Clinic to perform patient registration and phlebotomy duties. Under the practice manager, you will answer clinic calls, schedule physician and hospital appointments, and collect insurance and MSP information.

The role requires M-F 8-5 with occasional 1-2 Saturdays every 7 weeks. Proficiency in English is required; some weekend hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate degree in Healthcare.
• Minimum 1 year related experience.
• Experience with patient registration and scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by collecting and recording demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data.
• Record and collect necessary patient account documents.
• Collect self-pay balances, pre-payment amounts, and co-pays per guidelines.
• Create accounts for new patients and update existing ones for accuracy.
• Schedule patient visits and procedures, coordinating with departments to meet needs.
• Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations/pre-certifications.
