Job summary

CHRISTUS Health’s Family Health Center in Texas is seeking a full-time clerical specialist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, welcome them, set up appointments, and ensure accurate demographics in the hospital system.

You will handle billing-related tasks, scheduling, insurance verification, and general clerical duties while providing friendly, professional service.

Qualifications

• Billing and accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Registration and scheduling responsibilities.
• Strong customer service and telephone skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor debit and credit activity on client accounts.
• Post transactions to institutional clients and review billing transactions in the AR system.
• Resolve client inquiries and complaints regarding institutional billing.
• Handle order entry, registration, and other clerical duties.
• Train clerical staff in registration and printing of patient reports.
• Perform other clerical duties as needed, including insurance verification and updating patient accounts.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, answer phones, and inform patients of benefits.
• Perform other duties as needed.
