Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a PRN Patient Registrar to join the team at Mountain View Hospital and Timpanogos Regional Medical Center in Utah. The role focuses on timely patient registration, interview for account details, and verification of insurance coverage at bedside or workstations.

The registrar will ensure accurate charts, secure necessary signatures, and communicate policies on services, pricing, and billing. A goal is exceptional customer service and efficient intake processes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Ensure that all signatures are obtained for treatment.
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients, relatives and other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and demographical information with insurance and financial information.
• Assign Insurance Plans (IPlans) accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status and initiate when required.
