Part Time Patient Registrar – NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Medical Group - Orthopedics and Sports Medicine– Days

In this role, you will navigation through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization.

This is a Part time Monday-Wednesday 24-hour work week. Must be flexible with variable hours from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations listed above as needed.

Preferred Criteria

• Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.
• Experience working in a busy out-patient practice.
• Orthopedics or Radiology experience.
• Knowledge of Coding: ICD 10, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements.
• EMR experience/EPIC
