Key Responsibilities

• Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others.
• Obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling.
• Record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients.
• Be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.

This is a full time day Monday through Friday with hours of 12:00PM to 8:00PM position. (Must be flexible based on operational needs)

This position provides support to all radiology locations for NYP-Hudson Valley Hospital 1980 Crompond Rd, Cortlandt Manor, NY, including 35 S. Riverside Avenue, Croton-on-Hudson, NY and 1756 NY-9D, Cold Spring, NY offsite locations with Hudson Valley Hospital being the home base.

Preferred Criteria / Requirements

• Preferred Criteria Knowledge of hospital procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.
• Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.
• Working with Prior Authorizations Epic Experience Required Criteria
• Qualified candidates have at least one year of clerical experience supported by a high school diploma or GED.
• Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
• Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties on demand.
• Includes willingness to cover all areas as needed.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
