Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Patient Registrar PRN to accurately register patients, interview for account information, and verify insurance coverage. The role focuses on timely data collection, patient interaction, and ensuring complete and accurate charts at point of care.

The role requires 1 year of related experience preferred and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This PRN position supports flexible scheduling in the Aurora facility and emphasizes excellent customer service and accurate

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards
• Interview incoming patients, relatives and/or other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and demographical information with insurance and financial information
• Assign Insurance Plans (IPlans) accurately
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status via online or other resources and initiate if required
• Secure all signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, and payment of services from legally responsible parties
• Explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment of account
