Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a part-time Registrar to ensure timely and accurate patient registration, verify insurance, and collect patient liabilities. You will interview patients, obtain demographics and insurance information, and assist in securing necessary signatures for treatment.

The role emphasizes exemplary customer service, accurate chart handling, and adherence to productivity standards in a fast-paced hospital setting. Prior experience and basic Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain all necessary account information and perform bedside registration as needed.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients and relatives to obtain identifying and demographic information with insurance and financial information.
• Assign Insurance Plans accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status and enter information into the registration system.
