Job summary

Shriner's Children’s is seeking a Patient Registrar to ensure efficient and accurate registration of all patient encounters. You will collect demographic and insurance information, guide patients to the correct destination, and provide clerical support to outpatient staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining the computer database, scheduling appointments, applying privacy and confidentiality standards, and assisting with interagency referrals to support healthcare benefits as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical experience required, including typing and basic computer use.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and local community resources is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining patient demographic and insurance information.
• Providing clerical support including typing, proofreading, filing, and data entry.
• Maintaining the computer database and scheduling appointments.
