Position

Patient Registrar

Orleans Community Health Medina Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team located at Medina Hospital.

Shift and Status

Part Time – 3pm-11pm and 11pm – 7am

12% Shift Differential if working after 3pm

Additional pay for working open shifts, up to Thirty-three Dollars!

Competitive pay and benefits package including health, dental and vision as well as a pension and 403(b) plan.

Position Summary

To be considered for this position, primary duties will consist of check-in/out procedures for patients on multiple provider’s schedules, collection, verification and system entry of patient and insurance information, distribution of data, collection of copays, scheduling of all necessary testing, obtaining authorizations from insurance companies, telephone triage, and appointment scheduling. This position requires a drive for helping people, an extremely high level of organization, with the ability to prioritize on a daily basis. A vital part of our Admissions Team, this position must demonstrate professionalism in both dress and speech, along with proper phone etiquette and must demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to serve the public!

Requirements

Keyboard experience (40-60 wpm).

High school diploma; supplemented with one (1) year of related medical office experience.

Successful completion of an accredited medical office training program may be substituted for the required one (1) year medical office experience.

Professional in attitude, conduct, and appearance.

Knowledge of various insurance requirements and medical terminology.

Verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal/human relations skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.
