PrimeCare Health, Inc. in Chicago seeks a Patient Referral Specialist to manage referrals, obtain authorizations, and communicate with patients and providers.

You will use the EMR referral workqueue to process orders, coordinate with specialists, and inform patients of status while ensuring timely pre-authorizations and in-network referrals. Strong computer skills and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Ability to work effectively and independently.
• Appreciation for diversity among patients and employees.
• Team-oriented with professionals of varying work styles.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Polish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Use the EMR referral workqueue and reports to obtain and authorize referrals.
• Prepare referral forms and transmit information to specialists for pre-authorization.
• Communicate with patients/providers to obtain needed referral details and inform delays.
• Identify in-network providers and arrange appointments as needed.
• Document referral status and assist scheduling if needed.
• Adhere to all regulations, policies, and instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
