MyMichigan Health is seeking a Patient Placement Assistant to support bed management and patient movement within our facilities. You will assign beds for admissions from departments like Emergency and PACU, and coordinate transfers between units according to policy.

In this role you will work with unit clerks, nurses, and the Transfer Coordinator RN, using the EMR to document transfers, and provide excellent customer service to physicians and families.

Competenze

• One year minimum acute care experience required.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Ability to communicate successfully with physicians, patients, family and staff.
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Experience with medical terminology from clinical settings or coursework.
• Competency in Microsoft Windows.

Mansioni

• Assigns patients to units and beds per Bed Planning policy and physician orders.
• Completes EMR processes to transfer patients to the correct unit in the system.
• Provides customer service to hospitals, physicians, and transfer partners.
• Collaborates with Transfer Coordinator RN and unit leadership as needed.
