Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a full-time Kitchen/Food Service role in the Food and Nutrition department at Lexington Medical Center. Shifts are 8 hours between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Primary duties include delivering, serving, and retrieving food trays, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating with nursing staff to support patient care and customer satisfaction. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED preferred and customer service

Qualifications

Must be literate in English and able to follow instructions.
Must be comfortable interacting with patients, families, and/or caregivers when delivering meals.
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including patients, visitors, employees, nursing staff, managers, and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

Delivers, serves, and retrieves food trays/carts in a courteous, safe, efficient, and sanitary manner following proper protocol.
Maintains sanitation and follows health department policies to achieve high ratings.
Communicates with nursing staff as deemed appropriate and supports patient and customer satisfaction.
