Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care nutrition services by handling diet orders and serving patients. You will act as a liaison between patients and the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services to ensure accurate service delivery.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, obtaining patient preferences, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting clinical staff with nutrition care needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian in a timely manner.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicates all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following assigned cleaning schedules and completes other sanitation tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Relief Supervisor.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned unit(s).
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance from Supervisor or Dietitian if an error is observed.
• Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.
