Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to handle patient diet orders and liaison duties between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services. You will deliver meals, collect trays, and communicate patient food needs while maintaining sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with diet orders, stocking, and guiding patients on menu selections. English proficiency is required; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• May obtain food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet care orders are provided to patients by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and completing assigned sanitation tasks.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance when needed.
• Assists clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition care needs.
