Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Dietary Assistant to support patient meal service on assigned units. You will help with menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and special requests, collaborating with nursing staff to meet nutrition needs.

No previous experience required; six months of hospital food service experience is preferred. This on-site role offers schedule flexibility and opportunities to contribute to patient care and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• React accurately to changes to ensure timely service and accuracy of physician's modified diets.

Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. Communicate patient food issues/concerns and needs to team members within the department and intersects with nursing employees in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services, accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets.
