Job summary

Waverly Health Center is seeking a dedicated Food Service Associate to support patient meal preparation and service, staff meals, and cafeteria operations. You will handle food prep, tray assembly, and tray delivery while following nutrition guidelines and safety protocols.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to navigate hospital computer systems for diet orders and records. Second shift work, weekends, and holidays are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare or food service experience preferred.
• Basic food preparation techniques required.
• Willingness to complete sanitation training/coursework.
• Ability to learn and navigate computer systems (online training modules, timesheet, appraisal).
• Must read, speak and write fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation for patient service following recipes and guidelines.
• Assist with patient meal trays, room service, and staff meals.
• Serve meals in café areas; clean dining spaces and restock items.
