The Oncology Patient Navigator (OPN) is a member of the healthcare team and assists patients’ with “navigating” through the healthcare system and get timely care. Navigators help coordinate patient care, connect patients with resources, and help patients understand the healthcare system while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary and medical teams to deliver quality patient care services. Monitors patient outcomes and participates in quality improvement activities. Works alongside management staff to implement and develop established or new programs related to the department efficiency and cost effective program implementation.
Three years of direct patient care experience in an acute care setting. Previous case management experience or related experience preferred.
Current Texas or compact RN license required.
Bachelor degree in Nursing required. Master degree in Nursing preferred.
