Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Monitor for our Sitter Unit at the New Brunswick Facility. The role supports nursing with observation and safety duties on the day shift, totaling 40 hours per week, with every other weekend and some holidays.

The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and CPR/BLS certification. Responsibilities include observing patients, reporting changes to nurses, maintaining confidentiality, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring a safe care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient's conditions, behavior, and complaints to the nurse.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows safety policies and procedures.
• Assists patients with daily living activities (feeding, dressing, hygiene).
• Transfers, escorts, transports, and ambulates patients.
• Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner and ensures correct ID bands.
• Maintains a safe and orderly patient care environment.
