Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician for the Adult Surgical Teams at Methodist Hospital. The role involves performing routine patient care tasks under clinician supervision and assisting with safe mobility and positioning of patients.

Responsibilities include maintaining treatment areas, supporting infection control and safety programs, and assisting with scheduling and clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire.
• Complete rehabilitation technician training within 3 months of hire.
• 1-3 years in healthcare preferred; rehab experience preferred.
• Familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform designated routine patient care tasks under direct supervision.
• Assist clinicians to provide safe mobility and positioning of patients.
• Maintain and clean treatment areas and equipment.
• Participate in department operations and performance improvement activities.
• Participate in infection control, safety programs, and regulatory compliance.
