Job summary

IU Health is seeking Rehabilitation Technicians for the Adult Surgical Teams at Methodist Hospital. The role involves supporting clinicians in safe patient mobility, maintaining treatment areas, and assisting with clerical tasks as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS certification within 6 months, completion of rehab tech training within 3 months, and 1–3 years of healthcare experience preferred. Familiarity with patient lifting is desired.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire.
• Requires completion of rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
• 1-3 years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs designated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of clinicians.
• Assists clinicians to provide safe mobility and positioning of patients as needed.
• Maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment.
• Participates in departmental operations and performance improvement activities.
• Orders, distributes and maintains inventory of designated supplies; may perform scheduling, customer service and clerical duties.
• Rehabilitation Technicians may transport medications to/from the patient treatment area.
