Wellstar is a healthcare system focused on enhancing the health and well-being of every person we serve. Job title: Patient Meals Assembly (Part-Time). Work Shift: Day. This role supports patient meals assembly across areas including Tray Line, Retail, and Utility, with a primary focus on patient meals assembly.

Responsibilities

• Tray Line: participate in patient tray assembly, preparing patient meals within diet orders and patient preferences.
• Retail: assist with service, preparation, cleaning, restocking, and cashiering while delivering strong customer service.
• Utility: transport patient meal carts to nursing units, warewash dishes, perform basic housekeeping of areas and equipment.
• Ensure safety and HACCP compliance: wash hands, wear gloves, follow infection prevention practices, maintain clean work areas, monitor and record temperatures, label and rotate food/supplies, and operate equipment safely with escalation of unsafe conditions.
• Support positive service outcomes: follow work schedule (including weekends/holidays), set up and break down workstation, follow instructions with accuracy, complete area checklists, and care for equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve department and hospital goals; communicate respectfully and clearly; respect cultural traditions of team members and customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with Wellstar policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Required Experience: Hospital foodservice experience and customer service experience highly preferred.
• Required Skills: Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written English; basic math skills.
