Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant to support patient care by delivering meals, assembling trays, and assisting with dining services in a hospital setting. You will help ensure accuracy of orders, cleanliness of the tray line, and safe handling of food and supplies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, efficient service, and compassionate interactions with patients and staff, with onsite duties across clinical and non-clinical areas.

Qualifications

• Education: None is required for required qualifications.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to patient areas and assist with tray setup.
• Perform customer service and service recovery as needed.
• Drive a company vehicle to deliver meals to outer buildings on campus.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.
• Operate dishwashing and related kitchen equipment following safety procedures.
• Assist with cleaning tasks and proper waste disposal.
