Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a Patient Services Attendant to assemble patient trays and deliver them to patient rooms, collect trays, and manage tray breakdown before meals. You will prepare cold items and keep carts and areas clean while ensuring diet requirements are met.

Per diem role based in Nash County, with rotating schedules and onsite work. Requires high school diploma, ability to follow instructions, and competency with diet types; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to verbalize understanding of all special diets used at Nash UNC Health Care.
• Must successfully complete diet competencies annually.

Responsibilities

• Assembles patient trays and delivers to patient rooms.
• Collects trays from patient units.
• Breaks down patient trays prior to meal service.
• Prepares cold food items: tea, desserts, salads, jello, etc.
• Cleans tray carts and work areas.
• Assists with dirty food tray removal from nursing units.
• Delivers food trays or nourishments to patients' rooms or nursing units.
• Maintains compliance with health and safety standards.
