Job summary

Corewell Health's Nutrition Services team at Gerber Hospital in Fremont is seeking a part-time patient meal service assistant. You will participate in all aspects of meal service, including assembling patient trays, delivering and picking up meals, answering phones in the call center, and maintaining cleanliness.

No experience is required—full training and support are provided to develop your career. The role runs 26.25 hours weekly with a consistent schedule: 11:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
• CRT-Work Permit - UNKNOWN Unknown High School Student Employees

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains serving lines including dishes, silverware, hot and cold food items, condiments, etc.
• Serves food as directed, replenishing items as needed, and cleans stations after use.
• Sets up and operates cash register and handles payments when required.
• Performs routine cleaning, including washing pots, pans, and equipment, and maintains sanitary conditions.
• Delivers patient trays to rooms and assists with tray assembly and verification.
• Participates in quality monitoring activities and supports facility maintenance.
