Job summary

Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist in preparing patient meals in accordance with therapeutic diet orders and patient safety standards. You will help assemble, serve, deliver, and retrieve meals while recording meal information.

You will support stock management, sanitation, and teamwork within the Nutrition Services department, and may train to perform additional duties as needed to meet patient and department needs.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Prior work experience in food services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves drinks and foods according to patient specifications including therapeutic diet orders, patient safety modifications, and proper patient identification.
• Records patients' intakes including nutrient-specific intakes accurately per established procedures.
• Provides menu information and explanations of ingredients and preparation methods as assigned.
• Assists with food preparation and operates production equipment as required to complete tasks.
• Maintains sanitation and hygiene of work stations and utensils.
• Works with the Nutrition Services team to coordinate timely delivery of orders.
