Job summary

Holy Cross Germantown Hospital in Germantown, MD is seeking a part-time Food Service Operations Rep to assemble, prepare, serve, and deliver trays, meals, and nourishments to patients and other customers, with rotating shifts. In this PRN non-benefited role, you will attend to patient requests, collect trays, assist in sanitation, and perform other duties as assigned, with every other weekend commitment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or be working toward one, strong communication,

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent with four years of work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.

Responsibilities

• Attends to patient, nursing and/or other customer food service and related requests in a friendly, cheerful, patient and customer-focused manner.
• Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
• Assists in the sanitation of the entirety of the department including pots, dish room, trash, floors and special cleaning as assigned.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
