Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, prepare, serve, and deliver trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors and other customers or clients.
• Attend to patient, nursing and/or other customer food service requests in a friendly, patient and customer-focused manner.
• Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
• Assist in sanitation of the department including pots, dish room, trash, floors and cleaning as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
