Job summary

Trinity Health's Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a part-time Food Service Operations Rep. The role assembles, prepares, serves and delivers trays and meals to patients, floors and other customers, with rotating shifts and every-other weekend commitment.

You will attend to patient requests, collect trays, assist in sanitation, and perform other duties. High school diploma or equivalent and basic English literacy required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent; four years of related work experience also acceptable.
• Ability to communicate clearly and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex English; Spanish ability is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attends to patient, nursing and other customer food service requests in a friendly, patient manner.
• Collects trays and items for transport to Food Service.
• Assists in sanitation of the department (pots, dish room, trash, floors, etc.).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
