Job summary

Holy Cross Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Maryland is hiring a Food Service Operations Rep for a part-time, PRN non-benefited role on a rotating shift (including every other weekend). You will assemble, prepare, serve and deliver trays and meals to patients and staff, assist in sanitation, and attend to patient and customer requests with a friendly, service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent four years of work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attends to patient, nursing and other customer food service requests in a friendly, patient-focused manner.
• Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
• Assists in the sanitation of the department including pots, dish room, trash, floors and cleaning.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
