Job summary

Shenandoah Medical Center is seeking a patient-focused Dietary Aide to assist in food preparation and serving for patients, staff, and visitors. You will follow dietician-prescribed modified diets and ensure meals are served promptly.

Responsibilities include sanitation, dishwashing, and maintaining clean work areas. Prior sanitation training and knowledge of diet planning help guide menu choices within restrictions; high school diploma required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Sanitation training and experience with modified diets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and service to patients, staff, Meals-On-Wheels recipients, and guests.
• Serve patients according to modified diets listed by dietician or Manager.
• Assist with dishwashing.
• Serve meals in a timely manner to patients, employees, and guests.
• Sanitize work areas, clean refrigerators and ovens as assigned.
• Sweep and scrub floors as assigned.
• Follow Infection Control policies in the Dietary Department.
• Knowledge of diet planning and ability to guide menu choices within dietary restrictions.
