Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn proper lifting techniques and safety precautions with kitchen equipment.
• Customer service focus.
• For call center: strong phone etiquette and computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal service including accurate portioning and tray assembly.
• Answer multiple line phone calls and input patient selections with dietary restrictions.
• Document patient food/beverage selections and preferences.
• Operate dish machine and maintain sanitation; store clean ware and equipment.
• Collect and dispose of trash; sweep and mop floors; clean kitchen equipment.
• Maintain stock and manage requisitioning, receiving, rotating, and putting away stock.
• Transport food carts within the department to patient care areas.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Identify opportunities for waste reduction and service improvements.
