The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Food Service Worker to support nutrition and patient meals.

The role involves food preparation, dishwashing, storage, safety, and sanitation, with duties across kitchen stations such as food prep, serving lines, and tray delivery to patients. You will work 5:30am-2:00pm in the Nutrition & Food Service department, performing modified diets, assembling trays, and ensuring meals meet prescribed diets.

Responsabilités

• Sets up and breaks down assigned station with supplies and food items.
• Ports food items into standard serving sizes with proper utensils.
• Assists with modified diets and nutrition services for patients.
• Delivers meal trays to patients, reports comments to supervisor or dietitian.
• Prepares fresh items and assists cooks in meal preparation.
• Keeps kitchen areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
