Job summary

University Health's UH Lakewood Medical Center in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Food Service Specialist Team Member to join our patient meals team. You’ll help serve patients with care, assemble, deliver, and assist with dietary needs and snacks, ensuring meals meet dietary restrictions and quality standards.

You’ll work a 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM shift with a 40-hour week, collaborating with nurses and coworkers to create a welcoming, compassionate environment while adhering to safety and hygiene

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move carts.
• Comfort with handling dietary needs and patient meals.

Responsibilities

• Help patients choose meals and assist with menu selections.
• Assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient trays.
• Ensure special diets and dietary restrictions are met.
• Deliver snacks and supplements as needed.
• Stock units with essentials and assist in basic food prep.
• Be a friendly, caring presence on the floor.
