Job summary

Novant Health in North Carolina seeks a patient-focused food service aide to support meal service for patients, staff and visitors under supervision by the Food Service Coordinators, Chef and Food & Nutrition Management. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience in a restaurant or customer service setting preferred.
• Ability to work with patients, staff and visitors in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Covers patient trays, loads trays in carts and delivers carts to assigned locations.
• Retrieves patient tray carts after meal service.
• Cleans equipment and workspaces according to sanitation guidelines.
• Washes dishes, china, silverware, pots and pans according to department procedures.
• Empties and removes department trash according to department procedures.
• Follows department sanitation guidelines.
• Maintains exemplary customer service in department and initiates efforts to resolve concerns.
• Applies sound judgment in problem solving and prioritizing of duties.
• Manages job duties effectively with minimal oversight.
• Maintains good attendance per Novant’s Attendance Policy.
• Demonstrates a daily commitment to meeting or exceeding the established Standards of Performance.
• Supports program operations by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability with work assignments.
