State of Maine is seeking a flexible food service helper for institutional dining. You will assist with meal preparation, serve patients, and help with basic kitchen cleanup and light housekeeping. This role requires attention to cleanliness and safety, with supervision provided.

Shift runs 10:00a to 6:30p on a 3-week rotation. Previous experience is not required, making it accessible for entry-level candidates who demonstrate reliability and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of use and care of food service equipment.
• Knowledge of methods and practices of food preparation and service.
• Ability to communicate effectively and write clearly.

Responsabilités

• Cleans and washes pots, pans, and serving containers to meet cleanliness standards.
• Cleans work areas to maintain safety and sanitary standards.
• Cleans tables, utensils, and storage shelves to maintain sanitation.
• Prepares vegetables and other foods to assist with meal preparation.
• Serves food from steam tables and carts to patients.
• Prepares simple foods such as eggs, toast, and cereals to meet nutritional needs.
