Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a PRN Food Service Worker to support patient meal service and kitchen operations. You will assist with tray assembly, meal delivery, dishwashing, and ensuring food safety standards are met in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned tray line positions in an efficient and timely manner.
• Delivers patient meal trays to Ambassador staff in an efficient and timely manner.
• Cleans and stores dishware, silverware, and cooking equipment according to department standards
• Completes assigned cleaning according to department standards
• Records food and equipment temperatures and takes appropriate action.
• Stores and/or disposes of food items not used on the tray line according to department standards.
• Completes simple food preparation, and assembles nutrition items for the patient areas.
• Completes documentation to track food cost and delivers items as requested according to department standards.
