Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide to support patient meal service and nourishment delivery. Responsible for ensuring patient satisfaction and accurate diet delivery as prescribed by physicians.

Hours are variable with 25 scheduled hours per week. No degree required; 6 months of experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred. This role supports the Food and Nutrition Services team within the hospital.

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• 6 months of experience in patient meals/service preferred.

Responsibilities

• 35% Responsible for patient satisfaction, completing meal orders, assembling and distributing meal trays, and communicating with dietitians, nursing, and OhioHealth staff.
• 30% Interact professionally with patients, visitors, and associates to meet or exceed service standards.
• 15% Clean and stock work stations, pods and kitchen areas as assigned.
• 10% Use department/hospital software to enter preferences, print reports and prepare diet order change sheets.
• 10% Prepare and deliver nourishments, floor stocks, and record temperatures of unit refrigerators; assist in other areas as needed.
