Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Room Service team at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Food Service Associate to coordinate patient meals and support clinical staff. You will assist patients with menu selection, enter orders in Computration, and ensure meals meet prescribed diets with strong customer service.

This fast-paced, on-site role covers rotating shifts, HACCP compliance, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Customer service experience required.
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition services preferred.
Basic computer and math skills required.
Healthcare or food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with menu selection and meal orders.
Enter and manage meal orders using Computrition system.
Communicate with patients, families, and clinical staff to clarify dietary needs and substitutions.
Ensure meals are delivered timely and within service timelines.
Identify patients who have not ordered and facilitate meal service.
Respond to patient and staff requests and escalate as needed.
Coordinate and manage delivery of nourishments, supplements, and special requests.
Maintain patient diet information in the system.
Support training and onboarding of new team members.
Adhere to HACCP guidelines.
Assist with tray delivery and pickup.
